Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic school-based role providing occupational therapy services in the Washington DC area, just 45 minutes south of the city. This contract opportunity spans from early August through late May, offering a valuable chance to make a lasting impact in students’ lives. You’ll work part-time, with exact hours and schedule to be determined, and the number of assigned schools and caseload specifics will be discussed directly with the district as they coordinate contracted therapy for the first time.

Your expertise in pediatric or school-based settings will be a strong asset as you help learners develop vital skills for academic success and daily life. As a valued member of the educational team, your flexibility and collaborative spirit will help shape outstanding services for students across varied age groups.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, active Virginia Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• Background in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
• Ability to work independently and adapt within evolving roles
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to timely credentialing, including VA Dept. of Social Services check and TB test

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions and evaluations for students as assigned
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students' goals
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and regulatory standards
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary discussions
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive educational environment
