Description

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist with 1+ year of experience for a day-shift assignment, open to first-time travelers.

Details

• Home health setting providing physical therapy treatments for patients with injuries or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone conditions
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weighted caseload of 6 to 7 visits per day
• Occasional weekend coverage for orthopedic cases only, approximately every 4th or 5th weekend
• MatrixCare or Epic experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; open to first-time travelers
• VA state license required (license required if applicable)
• CPR certification required
• Home health experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include developing and administering treatment plans, educating patients and caregivers, participating in discharge planning, and completing required documentation
• Focus on restoring function, relieving pain, and preventing disability through targeted therapeutic tasks
• Mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate
• Located in Chesapeake, VA, close to Virginia Beach and Norfolk with access to outdoor recreation
• No prior license or background hits will be accepted for consideration
• Candidates with a permanent address less than 50 miles from the facility may still be considered for allied positions such as this one
• RTO requests reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis
