What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population including infants to end-of-life
• Manage patients with all acuity levels: MedSurg, Stepdown, ICU, trauma cases, and specialized conditions such as stroke, MI, respiratory failure, sepsis, and more
• Administer and monitor critical care procedures, including ventilator management and titration of critical drips
• Interpret cardiac rhythms, measure cardiac strips, and manage invasive lines such as art lines and CVP
• Assist with procedures like TPA administration, conscious sedation, and splinting
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including hospitalists and ED physicians, in a fast-paced environment
• Document patient care thoroughly using Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Adhere to hospital protocols and unit policies, maintaining professionalism and patient safety at all times

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or the ability to obtain state licensure
• 2+ years ED or emergency nursing experience required
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI or MOAB
• Skills in ventilator management, critical care drips, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and trauma care
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
