Job Summary:
This nursing position in the Labor and Delivery (L&D) department is based in Washington, District of Columbia. The role involves providing specialized care for postpartum and mother-baby patients, including vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections. The schedule includes 12-hour night shifts, with a focus on delivering safe, competent, and patient-centered nursing care in accordance with facility standards and policies.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state/district; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications; a graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) highly desired; minimum of 2 years of experience preferred; postpartum/mother-baby experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience specifically in postpartum/mother-baby care and in labor and delivery settings
• Additional Information: Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility; candidates must have PP/Mother Baby experience; candidates should demonstrate professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, focusing on patient-centered care and service excellence standards.
