Travel GI/Endoscopy

American Traveler is hiring a GI Endoscopy Tech for a 13-week Days assignment requiring 1-2 years of endoscopy tech experience and Olympus scope handling skills.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital Endoscopy department within Surgical Services,
• 13-week assignment with Monday through Friday day shifts, 7:15am-3:45pm with a rotating shift of 8:00am-4:30pm,
• Department operates 6:30am-5:30pm with rotating shifts possible depending on hours,
• On-call coverage required for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays,
• Unit includes 8 procedural rooms (3 MAC, 5 conscious sedation) plus holding and recovery areas,
• 18 PACU bays with average census of 60-70 procedures per day,
• Treats all patient populations,
• Clinician to patient ratio is 1:1 in procedure rooms and 1:2/3 in PACU,
• No floating required,
• Utilizes EPIC EMR for charting,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a GI Endoscopy Technician,
• Experience with Olympus scope set-up, handling, and reprocessing required,
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred),
• SGNA or CBSPD certification preferred,
• License required if applicable,
• Active MA licensure required at time of consideration with no pending or conditional licenses accepted,
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions,

Additional Information

• Responsible for scope set-up, handling, and reprocessing in support of GI/Endoscopy procedures,
• Work as part of a surgical services team supporting MAC and conscious sedation cases,
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility to be eligible, with a reduced rate applying to local status,
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
