Full-Time | Days | 80 Hours/Pay Period | Gateway Regional Medical Center
Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Unit Secretary to support our clinical team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
This role is essential in keeping the unit running smoothly by serving as the central communication hub between nursing staff, providers, patients, and support departments.
What You'll DoIn this role, you will help ensure efficient daily operations of the unit by:
- Serving as the primary communication point for the nursing unit
- Managing phone calls, messages, and coordination of information
- Supporting clinical and administrative staff with clerical tasks
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation flow
- Coordinating unit activities with other departments
- Assisting with general office and administrative support duties
- Promoting smooth workflow in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Full-time
- Day shifts
- 80 hours per pay period
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- At least 1 year of clerical or secretarial experience preferred (healthcare setting preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented and dependable work style
