Accounting Specialist

Thomasville, GA  |  $17.00 - $20.00 / Hour

A bookkeeping and payroll solutions company is looking for an Accounting Specialist  to be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations by processing financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensuring compliance with established accounting procedures. This role involves preparing and releasing invoices, reconciling accounts, researching discrepancies, and maintaining detailed fiscal documentation. This ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing multiple accounting tasks while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. 

Responsibilities

• Prepare and release invoices
• Maintain accounting databases and input data as needed
• Analyzes fiscal transactions for the purpose of identifying and/or resolving issues.
• Maintains a wide variety of fiscal information, files and records (e.g. ledgers, reports, etc.) for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.
• Processes a variety of fiscal information (e.g. accounts receivable, deposits, requisitions, petty cash, travel reimbursement vouchers, etc.) for the purpose of updating information and/or verifying/initiating final action in compliance with accounting procedures.
• Reconciles account balances for the purpose of maintaining accurate records
• Researches discrepancies of financial information and/or documentation for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adhering to procedures prior to processing for payment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Location:  Thomasville, Georgia

Pay Rate: $17.00 - $20.00 / Hour

Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
