Civil Litigation Attorney

Civil Litigation Attorney – Remote in South Florida Mayersohn Law Group is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to support ongoing litigation matters on a contract basis. This role is primarily remote but requires occasional in‑person work within the firm's common practice areas in South Florida. The ideal candidate is a skilled litigator with strong analytical abilities, excellent drafting skills, and the professionalism required to manage complex civil matters independently. Key Responsibilities Draft and revise pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses Conduct depositions, witness preparation, and factual investigations Prepare for hearings, mediations, and trials Develop strategic litigation plans aligned with client goals Perform comprehensive legal research and case analysis Negotiate settlements and communicate effectively with opposing counsel Maintain accurate records, deadlines, and documentation Collaborate with staff, experts, and supervising attorneys Meet billable expectations and performance metrics Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience Ability to travel occasionally within South Florida Demonstrated experience with contract disputes, business conflicts, partition actions, constructive trusts, and commercial litigation Strong litigation skills, including drafting, discovery, depositions, and hearing preparation Excellent written and verbal communication Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail Ability to manage a remote workload independently and professionally Preferred Qualifications Experience with experts, complex damages, or multi‑party civil matters Prior remote or contract‑based litigation experience Familiarity with Clio and LexisNexis Why Work With MLG Remote work with flexible scheduling Opportunity to support meaningful civil matters Collaborative team environment with clear expectations Exposure to sophisticated, high‑value cases About Mayersohn Law Group, P.A.
