About the Role

We are looking for a Customer Account Specialist to join our team in Columbus. This is a customer-facing operations role for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable communicating with customers, and interested in growing with a small company.

Your primary responsibility is entering customer orders accurately in our ERP system, sending order confirmations, and staying on top of open orders so customers receive timely updates through shipment. You will work with the people who handle engineering, supply chain, warehouse, shipping, and accounting to make sure orders move forward and customers receive accurate, timely updates.

You do not need experience with bearings or industrial products. Our customers generally know the parts they need, and our engineering team handles product matching, technical questions, and quotes. We will teach you our products, systems, and processes. What matters most is that you are detail-oriented, communicate well, ask questions when needed, and take ownership of following through for customers.

What You'll Do

• Enter customer orders accurately and verify important details such as part numbers, quantities, pricing, shipping information, and delivery instructions.
• Respond to customer emails and phone calls regarding orders, shipment status, pricing requests, invoices, and account questions.
• Send order confirmations and keep customers informed of updates, changes, delays, and shipment information.
• Monitor open orders and coordinate with internal teams to get customers the information they need.
• Route technical questions and quote requests to the appropriate engineering or internal team.
• Maintain accurate customer, order, and account information in our business systems.
• Follow up on open customer questions and requests to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
• Build positive relationships with repeat customers through responsive, professional service.
• Learn our products, customers, and internal processes so you can confidently direct requests to the right person.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer communication and internal processes.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Comfortable communicating professionally by phone and email.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow-up items.
• Comfortable learning and using web-based business systems, email, spreadsheets, and other computer applications.
• A dependable, self-directed approach to work.
• Willingness to ask questions, learn, and take ownership of customer needs.
• Ability to work full-time, in person at our Columbus location.

Helpful, But Not Required

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

• Customer service or account support.
• Order entry or inside sales support.
• ERP, CRM, or other customer/order management systems.
• Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet applications.
• Distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or another business-to-business environment.

Industry experience is not required. If you're comfortable working with customers, learning new systems, and staying organized, we encourage you to apply.
