Target Hiring Range: $88,000-$95,000 Department: Human Resources Pay Grade Range: $74367-$130143 Work Hours: 8:30am-5:30pm FLSA Status: Exempt Work Location Status: Hybrid Hybrid Schedule: 2-3 days a week onsite. Job Overview The Senate Sergeant at Arms (SAA) is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Human Resources Business Partner I (HRBP I) to support the Talent Acquisition team. The HRBP I position collaborates effectively across HR verticals and divisions in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a service-oriented approach to hiring managers and candidates. Key responsibilities include posting and managing job postings, sending recruitment communications and candidate notifications through an applicant tracking system (ATS), responding to general employee inquiries, and assisting with administrative recruitment activities. The incumbent will support testing and implementation of enhancements in Talent Acquisition systems and proactively identify opportunities to improve HR processes and system efficiencies. Core Competencies Analytical aptitude, relationship management, consultation, business acumen, ethical practice, strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communications, service orientation, discretion, multi-tasking. Key Accountabilities / Essential Job Duties Consults with and provides guidance to SAA staff and supervisors on Human Resources policies and procedures. Collects and enters data to enable analysis of trends and metrics; develops systems and trackers to support data collection. Responds to routine employee or external stakeholder inquiries and escalates more complicated situations. Performs transactions across HR systems and platforms, such as posting requisitions, updating engagement data, or documenting employee relations actions, and maintains data accuracy and integrity. Identifies training needs for teams and individuals. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve HR processes and system efficiencies. Other duties, as assigned. Job Specifications Required Education Bachelor’s in HR management or related field. Other Duties / Responsibilities May perform duties of a contract representative (COR) as needed. Required Work Experience 4+ years of progressively responsible HR experience. Required Special Skills / Knowledge As part of our hiring process, we may conduct a skills assessment to better understand an applicant’s proficiency in key areas relevant to the role. Effective communicator, strong organization skills, ability to train employees, ability to handle sensitive/confidential information. Knowledge of personal computers and word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Experience using Cornerstone OnDemand or a comparable applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage requisitions, candidate workflows, and reporting. Desired Qualifications Experience updating and maintaining SharePoint sites, including page content and recruitment guides. Experience creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for HR processes or systems. Working Conditions Sedentary.
