Locum tenens opportunity

Seeking a Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist

Client is seeking consistent monthly coverage

Coverage need:

• Approximately 6 weekdays per month
• 1-2 weekends per month

Weekday coverage includes:

• Inpatient cath lab
• STEMI coverage
• Night call

Weekend coverage: Friday 5:00 PM Monday 7:00 AM

Providers will be cross-credentialed at another nearby facility and may work between both locations within the same day or block of coverage

Schedule

• General coverage: 7:00 AM 7:00 AM
• Cath lab: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Weekend call may result in approximately 0-4 call-ins
• Current staff averages approximately 10 call-ins per month

Clinical Details

• Inpatient coverage only
• Hospitalists handle admissions
• Cardiologist serves as a consulting physician and is not the admitting provider
• Responsibilities include:
• STEMI coverage
• Cardiac catheterizations
• Interventional cardiology procedures
• Cardiac cath and pulmonary embolism (PE) work preferred
• Daytime cath lab add-on procedural volume: 0-7 patients
• Inpatient consult volume: 0-8 patients daily, typically around 2-3
• No APP support
• No cardiothoracic surgery onsite patients requiring CT surgery are transferred to Harrisburg
• STEMI notifications are sent via phone and pager through the switchboard
• Physician must confirm receipt of STEMI notifications with the switchboard
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
• Active Pennsylvania medical license required
• ACLS required
• BLS required
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Must live within approximately a 5-hour driving radius
• No flights
