Compensation

Schedule

• Consistent Monthly Coverage Required
• Weekday Coverage: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-7:00 AM
• Cath Lab Coverage: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Night Call Included With Weekday Coverage
• Weekend Coverage: Friday 5:00 PM-Monday 7:00 AM
• Coverage Need: Approximately 6 Weekdays and 1-2 Weekends Per Month
• Provider May Work Between Two Sites
• 30-Minute Call Response Required
• Provider Must Be Local Enough to Drive to the Assignment Within a Maximum 5-Hour Radius

Patient Population / Volume

• Patient Population: 100% Adults
• Approximately 0-7 Add-On Cath Lab Procedures During 7:00 AM-5:00 PM Coverage
• Approximately 0-8 Inpatient Patients, Typically 2-3 Per Day
• Average Admissions While On Call: 3
• May Be Called In Approximately 0-4 Times During a Weekend

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide Inpatient Interventional Cardiology Coverage
• Provide Cardiology Consultations
• Cover STEMI Cases
• Perform Cardiac Catheterizations
• Perform Interventional Cardiology Procedures
• Hospitalists Handle Admissions
• Cardiology Is Not the Admitting Service
• Provider Will Work Independently
• STEMI Notifications Provided Through Phone and Pager
• Provider Must Confirm Receipt of STEMI Page With the Switchboard

Required Procedures / Skills

• Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
• Cardiac Catheterization
• Pulmonary Embolism (PE) Procedures - Preferred

Clinical Support

• No APP Support
• Hospitalist Team Handles Admissions
• No Cardiothoracic Surgery Onsite
• Patients Requiring Cardiothoracic Surgery Are Transferred to Another Facility

Requirements

• Board Certified - Required
• Active Pennsylvania Medical License - Required
• IMLC Not Accepted
• Minimum of 3 Years of Clinical Experience - Required
• ACLS - Required
• BLS - Required
• DEA Not Required
• Provider Must Be Within a Maximum 5-Hour Driving Radius

Credentialing

• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 Days

• Cross-Credentialing at an Additional Site Required
