Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist for a full-time locum tenens assignment in Hanover, Pennsylvania .

This is an attractive daytime opportunity for an anesthesiologist who wants to maintain a broad clinical practice without the traditional hospital call burden. The role combines medical direction of CRNAs with personally performed cases in an established ambulatory surgery center, with a particularly strong orthopedic volume requiring regional block proficiency.

Expect a consistent Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule with no call , Epic, and an outpatient case mix spanning multiple specialties without cardiac or OB.

Schedule

Clinical Practice

The anesthesiologist will work alongside CRNAs in a model that combines medical direction with personally performed anesthesia cases .

The outpatient surgical practice encompasses a broad range of specialties, with no cardiac or obstetric anesthesia . Orthopedics represents a significant portion of the practice, making strong regional anesthesia skills particularly important.

Clinical responsibilities may include:

• Medical direction of CRNAs
• Personally performed anesthesia cases
• Pre-anesthesia assessment and perioperative management
• General and regional anesthesia
• Orthopedic anesthesia and regional blocks
• Anesthesia across a broad outpatient surgical case mix
• Post-anesthesia evaluation and clinical coordination
• Documentation in Epic

Patient Population

The facility treats patients across the age spectrum. As an outpatient setting, patients are typically age 1 and older , although anesthesiologists may occasionally care for children under one year of age for procedures such as ENT tubes and tonsil-related cases .

Candidates should therefore be comfortable providing anesthesia to both adult and pediatric patients within their scope and privileges.

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Anesthesiology — required
• Board Eligible candidates will not be considered
• Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC Letter of Qualification
• DEA registration required
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• Orthopedic regional block proficiency required
• 2+ years of Anesthesiology experience preferred
• Comfortable with both medical direction and personally performed cases
• Comfortable treating the identified pediatric population
