Accounts Payable Clerk

Accounts Payable Specialist We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will process 100+ invoices weekly from truckers, freight carriers, and customers, ensuring charges are accurate, costs are properly allocated, and discrepancies are resolved. Key Responsibilities + Receive, review, and process 100+ invoices per week from truckers, freight carriers, and customers. + Verify invoice charges against expected costs and investigate any discrepancies or overcharges. + Accurately enter invoices as landed costs within the accounting system. + Communicate with vendors via email to clarify questionable, excessive, or unclear charges. + Partner with internal teams to reconcile costs and support accurate financial reporting. + Maintain organized financial records and documentation. + Assist with month-end closing activities and other accounting-related functions. Required Qualifications + Experience in Accounts Payable. + Knowledge of landed cost accounting and experience handling a high volume of invoices. + Ability to identify, research, and resolve billing discrepancies and overcharges. + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. + Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics. Preferred Qualifications + 1-3 years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience (entry-level candidates with relevant education are encouraged to apply). + Experience within the logistics, freight, transportation, or trucking industry preferred. + Strong attention to detail and ability to identify cost discrepancies. + Excellent organizational and time-management skills. + Ability to thrive in a high-volume, manual invoice-processing environment. + Strong written communication skills and experience corresponding with vendors. + Eagerness to learn and grow in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
