Human Resources / Payroll Coordinator

Job Summary Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, the HR/Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the administration and coordination of all Human Resource and Payroll functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Recruitment - post job openings and forward qualified applicants to hiring manager
- Onboarding - perform background check and ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately
- Maintain employee files
- Maintain HR software for all employees
- Track annual performance reviews
- Benefits administration -- Enrolls employees in medical, dental, life, 401k and offer COBRA to employees separating from employment.
- Process weekly payroll.
- Track time and attendance. Compile hours from time clock
- Monitor sick & vacation balances
- Maintain employee deductions
- Administration of Workers Comp and maintain OSHA log
- Administration of FMLA
- Provide various payroll and employee reports
- Provide assistance to Full Charge Bookkeeper
- Various other miscellaneous clerical duties as assigned
- Two to four years of related experience
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations in regards to employment
- Must be organized and proactive
- Excellent verbal and written communication skils
- Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
- Experience with Paychex Flex computerized payroll a plus
