Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Premier Sports Fitness & Physiotherapy Services, your responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating patients' physical conditions through comprehensive assessments to create tailored treatment plans.
• Implementing diverse treatment techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and specialized equipment to manage pain and enhance mobility.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously and maintaining accurate records that reflect treatment interventions, responses, and outcomes.
• Conducting regular reassessments to adapt treatment goals and make necessary adjustments in care plans.
• Providing education and training for patients, their caregivers, and other healthcare professionals regarding therapeutic techniques and the use of assistive devices.
• Staying abreast of the latest advancements in physical therapy practices by attending workshops, engaging in peer discussions, and pursuing continuing education opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain issues. You will work closely with patients of all ages, providing care that emphasizes healing, education, and empowerment to foster independence and a successful return to daily activities.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to fast-paced environments.

Preferred Experience
