Work Environment

This position requires on-site work in a dynamic clinic setting, where you will collaborate closely with a small team of professional colleagues, including two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Together, you will foster a supportive and engaging atmosphere that encourages patients to take an active role in their recovery process. With a robust sports medicine facility at your disposal, you will have access to a broad range of treatment modalities and equipment designed to facilitate rehabilitation and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients to identify their individual goals and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and discipline-specific approaches.
• Provide hands-on interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities aimed at restoring function and alleviating pain.
• Educate patients on their conditions and recovery strategies to empower them throughout their treatment journey.
• Maintain a manageable caseload, with an expected patient interaction rate of one individual per hour, ensuring quality attention to each case.
• Motivate patients to actively participate in their rehabilitation by designing customized fitness and wellness programs.
• Document and monitor patient progress thoroughly, utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) software such as WebPT, to ensure continuity of care and effective communication with the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary based on patient feedback and progress metrics.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid Virginia state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A strong commitment to maintaining a clean professional record, free from any disciplinary actions.
• Proven expertise in manual therapy techniques and a solid background in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Exceptional skills in designing and implementing exercise protocols that cater to diverse patient needs.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems, specifically WebPT, for thorough documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated success in achieving patient outcomes and fostering engagement in rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practice methodologies and ongoing professional development in the field.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, reflecting your qualifications and experience.
