Emergency Medicine Physician, Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, Emergency Medicine

Stony Brook University: Health Sciences: Renaissance School of Medicine: Emergency Medicine Description The selected candidate will be responsible for serving as an attending physician providing clinical coverage at Stony Brook University Hospital Emergency Department, teaching and supervising residents and medical students, contributing to successful research programs, and providing service in an administrative capacity as required. In addition to working at Stony Brook University Hospital, the selected candidate may also work at one of our Immediate Care locations in Commack and future sites, as well as Easthampton and Eastern Long Island Hospital based on operational needs. Required Qualifications MD/DO Degree (or foreign equivalent) Completion of Emergency Medicine Residency Board Certification/Eligibility in Emergency Medicine Eligible for New York State License Preferred Qualifications Graduate teaching, research and administrative/committee experience Completion of post residency fellowships Additional Information Non‑Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. To qualify for a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine. The selected candidate must successfully clear a background investigation. Campus Description Long Island's premier academic medical center, Stony Brook Medicine, represents Stony Brook University's entire medical enterprise and integrates all of Stony Brook's health‑related initiatives: education, research and patient care.
