Quality Intern

Job Description – Quality Intern (MER0003ZTO) Mercedes‑Benz Vans, LLC (MBV) located in Ladson, South Carolina, seeks a Quality Intern to join our Quality Management team. This role provides hands‑on experience in a production environment where innovation meets precision. Overview As a Quality Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers and quality professionals, contributing to real projects and learning from the best. Responsibilities Support root cause analysis and collaborate with the failure analysis team to solve complex production issues. Apply statistical tools to analyze quality trends and drive continuous improvement. Participate in shop floor meetings and project discussions, documenting key insights and actions. Monitor internal quality metrics, including Q‑Release and failure management processes. Assist in audit preparation and execution. Lead your own quality improvement initiatives from concept to implementation. Inspect incoming materials and support the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process). Track production and supplier claims to ensure timely resolution and feedback. Organize and moderate internal quality meetings, fostering cross‑functional collaboration. Qualifications Currently enrolled in or recently completed a 2‑ or 4‑year degree program in Engineering, Quality, or a related field. Strong communication and public‑speaking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Solid foundation in math and science. Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
