Lab Application Scientist, Environmental and Food Safety LCMS

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Lab Application Scientist to provide technical expertise in chromatography and mass spectrometry for environmental and food safety applications. The role involves conducting product demonstrations, optimizing analytical methods, delivering technical presentations, and supporting customers and internal teams in resolving complex analytical challenges.
Responsibilities
- Conduct product demonstrations highlighting instrument features, functionality, and best practices to customers
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to customize applications, develop methods, and troubleshoot analytical challenges
- Deliver technical presentations communicating solution capabilities and benefits to diverse audiences
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data from customer trials using statistical methods
- Work cross-functionally with marketing and sales teams to support strategic execution of demonstrations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related scientific field
- 2-3 years hands-on experience with chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments and software
- Data analysis and interpretation skills using statistical methods
- Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines
- Environmental and food safety chemical analysis experience preferred
Compensation: $75,800–$113,600 base
