Technical Sales Account Manager

Role Description The Technical Sales Account Manager is a part-time, remote role focused on growing Peytec’s mining business. Responsibilities include identifying prospects, conducting outreach and discovery calls, understanding customer requirements, presenting MuckPuck and related solutions, and closing sales. The successful candidate will build relationships with geologists, engineers, operations teams, and decision-makers, manage opportunities from initial contact through negotiation, and develop existing accounts. Day-to-day activities include product demonstrations, proposal preparation, pipeline management, and maintaining accurate CRM records. The role involves working closely with Peytec’s technical team to coordinate customer trials and support the transition from sales to implementation. Travel may be required for customer meetings, mine-site visits, and industry events. Qualifications Proven B2B sales and account management experience, preferably involving technical products or industrial solutions. Ability to generate leads independently, qualify opportunities, negotiate terms, and close deals. Experience working with mining companies or selling industrial IoT, wireless technology, hardware, or software solutions is a strong asset. Ability to understand customer operations and translate technical capabilities into clear business value. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, including confidence engaging technical buyers and senior decision-makers. Strong organizational skills, accurate pipeline management, and a self-directed approach to meeting sales targets. Proficiency with CRM tools and standard business software. Willingness to travel for customer meetings, mine-site visits, and industry events. Post-secondary education in business, engineering, technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
