OB/GYN Nocturnist

Seeking an experienced board-certified OB/GYN Nocturnist to join a collaborative, patient-focused team. This is a unique opportunity for physicians passionate about high-quality inpatient obstetric care. Candidates should prefer night-focused schedules and want to be part of a supportive, modern hospital environment. The OB/GYN Nocturnist will provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care overnight. Responsibilities include labor management, deliveries, postpartum care, and triage. Manage gynecologic consults for acute issues during nocturnist shifts. Perform urgent assessments and interventions for obstetric and gynecologic patients overnight. Collaborate closely with a supportive, collegial team of OB/GYN physicians and advanced practice providers. Provide backup coverage and support for complex cases with multispecialty teams onsite. Communicate effectively with day teams to ensure smooth handoffs and continuity of care. Work within a fully integrated EMR environment, documenting all patient interactions, procedures, and consults. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols in the OB unit. Support a flexible schedule of 6-12 nocturnist shifts per month to maintain work-life balance. Actively contribute to a culture of high-quality, patient-centered care. Handle emergency obstetric situations, including rapid response for maternal or fetal complications. Support the training and mentoring of residents or advanced practice providers if applicable. Participate in hospital committee work or overnight process improvements as needed.
