Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Telemetry

Location: Ottumwa, IA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to adult patients in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Monitor patients' conditions, administer medications, and assist with treatments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license in Iowa.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• MUST pass a 10-panel drug screening and background check.
• Mandatory reporter certification for Child and Adult required.
