About the Role: The Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the company’s financial operations by maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end close and financial reporting. This position works closely with the operations team to provide accurate reporting and identify areas for financial improvement. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Prepare and maintain financial records, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow activities. Monitor daily timekeeping and ensure proper job cost data. Assist with budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with the finance team. Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and support. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to system enhancements. Qualifications: 2–4+ years of experience in accounting or finance. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities. Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality. Experience with job costs accounting is a preferred. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional travel to field sites, job locations, or company divisions as needed. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds if necessary. Office-based role with occasional field or site visits. Standard business hours with occasional extended hours during peak periods Additional Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
