Job Description\n TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Concord, North Carolina.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Title:RN-Registered Nurse | Med Surg / TelemetryLocation:ConcordNorth Carolina28025Duration: 13 Weeks\n Shift:12hr Night Shift - 36\n Shift Information:1900-0700\n Clinical Interviewing- Yes\n On Call, Call Back Requirements:None\n Weekend Rotation:Every other weekend\n Holiday Requirements:Travelers will work 75% of holidays\n Floating Requirements:Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises\n **Start Date- Oct 12**About Facility:\n \n 457 licensed beds\n Trauma Level III\n Teaching Hospital\n Chest Pain Center\n Stroke Center of Excellence\n Bariatric Center of Excellence\n Radius rule: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit\n \n Department Information:\n \n Beds: 10\n \n Avg Daily Census – 8 patients\n \n \n Minimum Years of Experience required: 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience\n \n Will you accept a first-time traveler: Not preferred, will consider\n \n Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:\n \n Chest Pain, Syncope, Angina\n \n Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:\n \n BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team requirement)\n \n Ratios:\n \n RN: 1:5\n CNA: 1:10\n \n Skills required:\n \n General Med/Tele skillset: Stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management, etc), PCA pumps\n Medication gtt management to include: Cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, IVF\n \n Support within the Department:\n \n Supervisor\n Charge RN – may or may not have patients\n Resource RN – will assist with Admissions/Discharges\n RT, 24/7 – not dedicated to this unit specifically\n Hospitalist, 24/7 - not dedicated to this unit specifically\n Phlebotomy: Combined effort between RNs, IV team\n IV/VAT Team\n \n Technology/Equipment:\n \n EMR: EPIC\n IV Pumps: Alaris\n Med Dispensing: Omnicell\n \n Floating:\n \n Travel nurses will be first to float to other nursing units and provide flexible staffing support based on patient care needs and staffing demands. They will demonstrate adaptability and clinical flexibility when floating to other units.
