Registered Nurse - OB/GYN

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to obstetric and gynecologic patients in a hospital setting. Supervises nursing staff, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and ensures delivery of safe, quality care throughout the patient's perioperative journey.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and collect relevant patient health data to inform care planning.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessment and diagnosis.
• Coordinate and direct nursing activities within the OB/GYN department, ensuring adherence to established standards.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and modify care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare team members, and patients to facilitate optimal care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Possess at least two years of recent experience in obstetric or gynecologic nursing.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency with healthcare information systems such as EPIC.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
• Hold relevant certifications such as NRP and NIH Stroke Scale as required.
