Job Title: Accounting Clerk Location: Janesville, WI Employment Type: Contract (4 months) Industry: Distribution Compensation: $18.00 /hr. Schedule: 40 hrs/Week. What You'll Do Review customer accounts and transaction histories to accurately apply payments and process credits or debits. Identify and resolve payment discrepancies while responding to customer payment and account-related inquiries by phone and in writing. Support the Finance team with data entry, journal entries, and month-end account reconciliations. Partner with internal teams to improve cash application processes, communicate payment requirements, and ensure funds are applied correctly. Escalate recurring issues to management, recommend solutions, and perform additional accounts receivable duties as needed. What You'll Bring High School Diploma or GED. 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable. What Sets You Apart Microsoft Excel Experience. Demonstrated ability for speed, task accuracy, and problem-solving. Demonstrated good organizational skills. Proven ability to plan, set priorities, and follow up on tasks. Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, written, and customer service skills). Ability to work effectively on teams and build professional relationships.
