Proposal ManagerA defense and government contracting firm is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to lead the development of winning proposals for federal government opportunities. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, deadline-driven professional with deep knowledge of the federal procurement process and a track record of producing compliant, compelling proposal submissions. This is a fully remote, full-time opportunity with a well-established defense contractor that pursues opportunities across multiple federal agencies and contract vehicles.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of the proposal development lifecycle from RFP analysis through final submissionDevelop and enforce proposal schedules, compliance matrices, and outline documents aligned with RFP requirementsCoordinate and facilitate color team reviews including Pink, Red, and Gold teams and incorporate feedback into final documentsWork closely with capture managers, subject matter experts, pricing analysts, and contracts teams to produce integrated, competitive proposalsWrite, edit, and review executive summaries, management volumes, technical narratives, and past performance sectionsEnsure all proposal volumes are fully compliant with solicitation instructions and evaluation criteriaManage multiple concurrent proposals simultaneously without compromising quality or deadline complianceMaintain organized proposal libraries including past performance references, resumes, and boilerplate contentLead lessons learned sessions following each proposal submission to continuously improve win rates and process efficiencyStay current with federal procurement regulations, industry trends, and agency priorities relevant to the firm's capture pipelineRequirementsMinimum of 3 years of federal proposal management experience with demonstrated winsStrong knowledge of federal procurement regulations including FAR, DFARS, and major IDIQ/GWAC vehicle structuresProficiency with proposal development tools and document management platformsExceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to distill complex technical content into clear, compelling narrativesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously in a high-pressure environmentStrong interpersonal and collaboration skills for working across multidisciplinary proposal teamsMust be authorized to work in the United StatesPreferred QualificationsExperience in a related field is preferredScreening QuestionsHow many years of experience do you have relevant to this Proposal Manager role?Do you hold any required licenses or certifications for this position?Are you available to work fully remote?
