EHS Specialist – Dallas OperationsThe EHS Specialist supports the daily implementation and maintenance of Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) programs within the Dallas operation. This role assists with safety compliance, environmental reporting, employee training coordination, hazard identification, audit readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to promoting a safe and compliant workplace culture.Key Responsibilities:Provide operational support to implement and maintain EH&S programs including 5S, SIO, ASC, SHAP, GHAP, VF, GEMBA, and other site initiatives.Maintain organized safety records and documentation, including incident reports, inspections, corrective actions, and monthly Safety KPI data.Assist with coordinating safety training sessions, updating training matrices, and ensuring employees complete all required safety modules.Support environmental compliance activities by assisting with environmental paperwork and ensuring FRESH (Environmental Reporting) data is accurate and submitted on time.Participate in routine floor walks to identify hazards, document Safety Improvement Opportunities (SIOs), and follow up on corrective actions.Support customer sustainability initiatives by tracking environmental progress and maintaining project documentation.Assist in creating and distributing the site's EHS newsletter to communicate safety tips, SIO successes, and important EH&S updates.Support emergency preparedness efforts by helping coordinate emergency drills including fire, severe weather, and spill response exercises.Assist with audit preparation by organizing audit files, compliance documents, and evidence folders to maintain audit readiness at all times.Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement, communication, and continuous improvement efforts.Qualifications:Associate degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment preferred.Knowledge of OSHA regulations and general workplace safety practices.Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.Work Environment:Warehouse and distribution environment with frequent floor presence. Ability to walk the facility, conduct inspections, and participate in emergency drills. May require occasional lifting, standing, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
