Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Corporate Accounting Senior Associate to join a high-performing corporate accounting team and play a hands‑on role in the Company’s close, consolidation, and financial reporting processes. This position will own key areas of the general ledger, work across multiple business units, and help bring newly acquired entities into a centralized accounting environment. This is a role for someone who enjoys more than simply processing journal entries. You’ll be expected to understand why the numbers look the way they do, identify issues, improve processes, and partner with teams across the organization to keep the financials accurate and moving on time. What You’ll Own Prepare, review, and post monthly journal entries with appropriate support and documentation. Own account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies through resolution. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation and financial reporting activities. Analyze financial results and variances and communicate meaningful explanations to management. Maintain and improve close calendars, checklists, and accounting documentation. Corporate & Shared Services Accounting Manage standardized accounting activities across multiple business units within a shared services environment. Help integrate newly acquired entities into the Company’s centralized accounting model. Maintain accounting for key corporate functions, including treasury, PP&E, leases, intangible assets, prepaids, IT costs, and corporate allocations. Evaluate accounting issues, determine the appropriate treatment, and clearly communicate the rationale behind accounting decisions. Process Improvement & Partnership Look for ways to make the close faster, cleaner, and more scalable through automation, standardization, and improved workflows. Partner with AP, AR, FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, and operating teams to resolve accounting issues and ensure complete and accurate accruals. Identify opportunities to simplify reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting processes. Participate in ERP, reporting, automation, and other finance technology initiatives. Audit & Special Projects Coordinate with external auditors and provide schedules, documentation, and support for interim and year‑end audits. Help ensure accounting practices remain consistent with US GAAP and Company policies. Take on financial analysis, research, and special projects that support the broader Finance organization. Contribute to initiatives that improve the overall effectiveness of the accounting function. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 4+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience, including experience in public accounting. Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting. CPA strongly preferred. Experience working with an ERP system; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Experience working in a multi‑entity, shared services, corporate accounting, or acquisitive environment is a plus.
