Key Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) licensure required
- Experience working with elementary-age students with moderate to severe special needs
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies and support diverse learning needs
- Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and relevant compliance standards
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to students with special needs in a self-contained classroom setting
- Design and implement IEPs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional methods to support growth
- Communicate regularly with families, staff, and external providers
- Maintain accurate records and uphold required documentation and reporting
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive school community
This position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, from August 7, 2026, through May 28, 2027. As an integral part of a dedicated special education team, you will inspire and support students at Adventure Elementary, fostering their academic and social success.
