Ocotillo Animal Clinic and Pet Resort is looking to add a quality team member. Our clinic is located in Chandler, Arizona since 1999. We are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats. We offer services such as wellness vaccines, sick exams, surgical services, x-rays, ultra sound and Wellness Plans. We are looking for a Positive Team Member for this fast paced, who can multitask, but at the same time give "Excellent Customer Service"! Great Customer Service Skills is a must. As a Receptionist You Will Schedule: 4 days a week, 9.5 hour shifts We are open Mon-Fri 7:30AM-5:30PM & Sat 7:30AM-1PM, schedules are usually 7:30AM- 6PM and 7:30PM-1:30PM on Saturday Check In and Check out Clients Dispense Prescription items per Vet instructions Schedule appointments Phone skills to make calls and assist with scheduling Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner Use Avimark to add documentation and update client records Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets and other teammates. Demonstrate ability to show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect. Responsibilities / Qualifications Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures. Experience with Avimark is preferred. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments. Possession of organizational skills. Critical thinking – Understanding logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, good judgment and ability to manage stressful situations.
