Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity and frequency of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that address their individual needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate behavioral changes and emotional healing.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, coping strategies, and self-care methods.

• Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on evolving needs and outcomes.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and medical professionals to provide integrated care.

• Stay informed about current research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to maintain a cutting-edge practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with clients struggling with mood disorders such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. Our clientele often includes vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, making cultural competency and empathy essential to effectively support their unique experiences and challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
