Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients, developing individualized treatment plans based on their specific functional limitations and disabilities.
• Treatment Implementation: Demonstrate proficiency in executing treatment protocols grounded in evaluation findings, while adjusting methodologies as necessary to match the patient's progress.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and other therapists, to optimize patient care and outcomes, ensuring a cohesive approach to rehabilitation.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with both state and federal regulations.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about physical therapy techniques, exercise regimens, and home programs to encourage their active participation in recovery.
• Continuing Education: Stay current with the evolving healthcare environment by participating in relevant training and professional development activities.
• Quality Assurance: Help to ensure compliance with internal, state, and federal standards by completing all required training and assessments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients facing various physical challenges, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our focus is to empower patients by developing personalized treatment strategies that foster independence and enhance overall health.

Qualifications

• Education: A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
• Licensure: Must hold a valid state license to practice as a physical therapist in Florida.
• Certifications: Current CPR certification is mandatory.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, specifically working with patients in need of rehabilitation services.
