Job Summary
Here at Ferbos Family RTC, we are looking for compassionate and caring direct care staff to help individuals with emotional disorders, mood disorders, and trauma disorders. This is a 24 hour, 7 days per week residential treatment center. Positions are full time and sometimes require additional overtime and rotating holidays. We do offer PTO for vacation and sick days. We are looking for individuals who are team players, ones who are dedicated, reliable and work well in different situations.

12:00pm-8:00pm Shift

Duties

• Facilitate group recreational activities tailored to residents interests and abilities.
• Communicate effectively with care team members, including shift supervisors.
• Identify and intervene in crisis situations, including recognizing suicide risk factors and warnings.
• Log paperwork for compliance with state and federal laws.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be a State Licensed Administrator.
• Must maintain an active license while employed.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass a drug test regularly.
• Must have a Texas drivers license.
• Must have CPR/BLS Certifications.
• Must be able to complete required training.
• Must be able to transport residents.
• Must be able to do frequent cleaning.
• Must be able to complete daily checklist and documents.
• T.B. test is required.
• Must be able to follow each individual care plan.
• Ability to stand on your feet for 2-3 hours at a time.
• Must be capable of physically restraining residents if necessary.
• Must be able to handle situations that may be stressful at times.
• Must be willing to take overnight trips twice per year.
