QC Associate Scientist

Responsibilities Perform testing of chemical components or products. Utilize laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV/VIS, and other analytical equipment. Conduct analytical review of data to ensure calculations are complete and accurate. Perform quantitative chemical analyses of APIs and related materials under supervision following established procedures and guidelines. Conduct microbiological analysis as required. Calculate concentrations (molarity, parts per million, normality) and statistical information (standard deviation, mean). Prepare reagents and equipment by measuring, weighing chemicals, standardizing solutions, and assembling equipment. Maintain accurate records by logging samples received, procedures used, and results obtained on datasheets or laboratory notebooks. Weigh and calculate samples in physical and chemical analysis using balances and volumetric containers. Notify the Group Leader of daily lab activity and analytical problems. Organize and properly label samples, sample preparations, and volumetric solutions. Maintain the area free of sample contamination and restore equipment and supplies to the designated area; participate in general housekeeping efforts. Maintain compliance with the assigned training plan. Participate in the company performance‑management program on a regular basis in accordance with established policy. Understand and comply with all DPT safety, environmental and quality practices and procedures as outlined in departmental guidelines, SOPs and applicable federal, state and local regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Life Science from a four‑year college or university. Minimum 0–2 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree.
