If you are looking for a growing organization that prioritizes its employees, we encourage you to apply.Position SummaryPerform accounting administration, with an emphasis on support for accounting systems and processes.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.Prepare daily and monthly reconciliations, including coordination with other departments responsible for clearing aged reconciling items.Assist with the month end close process.Assist with general ledger maintenance and integration.Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting.Assist with the loan sale and reporting process, including preparation of sale summaries, booking gain on sales, and recording monthly income and loan activity to the general ledger.Execute outgoing wires.Support accounting department with audits and examinations required by the Bank, including compiling requests for the internal and external auditors.Support and back-up for various tasks in the department as needed.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesBachelor's Degree in accounting/finance or equivalent banking/accounting experience requiredProficiency with Microsoft Excel and WordAttention to detailsAccounting knowledgeGood organizational skillsCore banking system experience preferredPhysical Demands and ConditionsMust be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20lbs.Consistently operates a computer and other office equipment such as calculator, copy machine and printers.Climate controlled general office setting with moderate noise level.Must express or exchange ideas with co-workers, customers and vendors.Northeast Bank is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
