Procurement/Sourcing Specialist II

Procurement & Sourcing Specialist II role at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Grand Island, NY. Manage supplier relationships and sourcing activities in a regulated manufacturing environment, supporting cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply continuity across cross-functional partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Manage supplier portfolio and develop relationships focusing on cost, quality, delivery and service
- Support sourcing activities, supplier selection, negotiations and RFx processes
- Identify and implement cost reduction, efficiency and supply risk mitigation opportunities
- Partner with Material Planning, Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering on supply continuity and product changes
- Analyze supplier and market data to identify trends; develop reporting and performance visibility tools
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing within regulated industry environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across functions
- Prior procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience highly preferred
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Compensation: $63,000–$83,000 base
