The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $35.55 and $39.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and other factors permitted by applicable law.

Schedule:

• First Shift
• Approximately 5:00 AM - 2:00/2:30 PM
• Monday through Saturday
• Six-day workweeks are standard
• Occasional Sunday work may be required during major maintenance projects, shutdowns, or business needs.

About the Role

An established food manufacturing company in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to join its first-shift maintenance team.

This is a senior-level technical role responsible for advanced equipment troubleshooting, improving plant reliability, mentoring maintenance technicians, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. This position offers excellent long-term stability and the opportunity to make a significant impact on plant performance and equipment reliability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead advanced troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
• Identify recurring equipment failures and perform root cause analysis to implement long-term corrective actions.
• Improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and work orders within the CMMS system.
• Mentor maintenance technicians by sharing troubleshooting techniques, technical knowledge, and best practices.
• Partner with supervisors, planners, and project teams to prioritize maintenance activities and planned shutdowns.
• Promote safe work practices while maintaining a clean and organized maintenance environment.
• Support additional maintenance projects and plant improvement initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment
• Strong working knowledge of:
  • PLC troubleshooting
  • Electrical systems
  • Mechanical systems
  • Hydraulics
  • Pneumatics
  • Welding
  • Plumbing
  • Machine tools
  • Reading electrical and mechanical schematics
• Experience developing and improving preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently while providing technical leadership to other maintenance personnel
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Food manufacturing experience
• Experience utilizing CMMS software
• Previous mentoring or maintenance leadership responsibilities
• Experience supporting continuous improvement or reliability initiatives
