The Opportunity

As Senior Recruiter at Hearth, you will own hiring end-to-end across both technical and non-technical roles - from Engineering and Product to Operations, GTM, and beyond. You won't wait to be handed a playbook; you'll build one. You'll be the person hiring managers trust to move a search from open to closed with speed, judgment, and zero hand-holding.

This is a senior, high-autonomy seat on a small team in a competitive B2B fintech market. If you thrive on carrying a full req load, closing a Senior Software Engineer one week and a GTM leader the next, and treating recruiting like a sales motion where you win candidates on more than comp then this is your role.

What You'll Do

• Independently manage 4 to 5 or more open reqs at once spanning both technical and non-technical roles without dropping quality or speed.
• You anticipate bottlenecks and solve them before they slow a hire down.
• Own the process end-to-end: intake, sourcing strategy, screening, interview loop design, feedback, offer, and close.
• Work closely with hiring managers, adapting to how each of them operates, and act as their main point of advice on the search.
• Run intakes that define the success profile, calibrate the bar, and align on process before the search begins.
• Use market data and pipeline evidence to challenge and refine hiring strategy when a search stalls.
• Source across multiple channels: LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, communities, referrals, events, niche networks and AI sourcing tools.
• Treat recruiting like sales. You build genuine relationships, sell Hearth's mission and trajectory, and close candidates on more than the comp.
• Deliver a candidate experience that makes people want to say yes - responsive, human, and high-signal at every touchpoint.
• Track pipeline conversion, time to hire, pass-through rates and sourcing channel effectiveness, and adjust the approach based on what the numbers show.
• Keep ATS data clean and reporting accurate so the team always has a clear read on pipeline health.

What We're Looking For

• 4-6 years of full-cycle recruiting.
• A track record across both technical and non-technical roles; you speak the language of engineers and executives equally well.
• Fintech or startup experience.
• A proactive, curious self-starter who moves with urgency and figures things out without being told how.
• Strong closing ability, with a track record of winning candidates on fit and opportunity rather than comp alone.
• Multi-channel sourcing skills and comfort working with pipeline data.
• Data-fluent and a resourceful, multi-channel sourcer who comfortably juggles 4-5+ reqs in a fast-growing SaaS or fintech environment.

Location

This role will be located in NYC along with the CEO and other key roles in the business. The pay range for this role is:

110,000 - 125,000 USD per year (New York)
