Step into a meaningful role as a Special Education Teacher, where your expertise in supporting students with diverse learning needs will be central to a vibrant educational community. Multiple contract positions are available for Intervention Specialists, focusing on both behavioral and academic growth for students from mild to intensive needs. Positions are open immediately and extend through May 27th, allowing you to make a direct impact this school year.
What you'll bring:
- Current Special Education licensure; dual licensure for mild to intensive needs highly valued
- Experience or interest in working within Behavioral Focus (BFLIC) units
- Passion for fostering inclusive, effective learning environments
- Strong skills in individualized instruction, behavioral strategies, and progress monitoring
- Ability to collaborate with support staff, families, and other educators
Your role will include:
- Designing and implementing tailored lesson plans for students with varying levels of need
- Managing classroom environments that support behavioral and academic progress
- Collecting data and evaluating student progress, ensuring goals are met
- Participating in IEP meetings and working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Supporting positive behavior interventions in classroom and small-group settings
