Make an impact on the lives of youth by supporting students at a public charter school network focused on dropout recovery and prevention in Ohio. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work with opportunity youth ages 15–21, guiding them through a flexible, self-paced curriculum and providing instruction that prepares them for graduation and meaningful careers. This contract position is full-time, running from August 3, 2026, through June 25, 2027, with a schedule of 40 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience teaching or supporting students with special needs in school settings
• Strong ability to adapt instruction to individual learning plans
• Effective communication and collaboration with support staff and families
• Passion for working with at-risk or non-traditional learners

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction in accordance with each student’s IEP
• Design and implement lesson plans that promote engagement and measurable growth
• Collaborate with counselors, administrators, and career development staff
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
• Monitor student progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Provide support and guidance to help students develop academic and life skills
