About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a leading commercial and industrial services business. The CFO will play a pivotal role in the company's next phase of value creation, which includes expanding service revenue, geographic growth, and a strategic M&A roll-up strategy. This is a hands-on, high-impact operating partner role that demands a true build opportunity, with a focus on establishing financial discipline, building a scalable finance organization, and supporting an active acquisition agenda. The successful candidate will work closely with the founding leadership team and private equity sponsor to professionalize the platform and drive growth. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have prior experience as a CFO or VP of Finance within a private equity-backed middle-market business, with a strong background in industrial or commercial services. The role requires a proven ability to build finance functions, support M&A and roll-up strategies, and a strong grounding in controllership and technical accounting. Experience in FP&A, strategic finance, and implementing or upgrading ERP systems is also essential. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a lean environment while building a scalable organization and will have the ability to partner closely with founders and operators in a high-growth private equity environment. A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required, with a CPA being strongly preferred.
