Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active or pending Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license required (or COOL documentation). Please note: Only candidates with these credentials are eligible for interviews.
• Previous classroom management experience is essential.
• Hands-on background working with students on the autism spectrum within an elementary school environment.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for fostering student growth.
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a team of dedicated educators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and instruct elementary-age students in specialized resource classroom settings.
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families.
• Implement effective strategies for managing behavior and fostering positive classroom environments.
• Regularly assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet diverse needs.
• Help maintain compliance with educational standards and uphold school values of inclusion and equity.

This role will require your presence onsite, working 40 hours per week (with 37.5 hours paid and a daily unpaid lunch). You’ll find yourself in an environment that values expertise, compassion, and adaptability, allowing you to make a meaningful impact every day.
