Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist's primary responsibilities include positioning patients for x-ray imaging. The technologist performs imaging procedures independently and operates x-ray equipment. They are responsible for processing images and documenting them into the appropriate system. The technologist provides basic patient care under the supervision of the clinic nurse. Patient care responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms, and obtaining specimens including blood draws if qualified. They prepare patients for clinician evaluations and assist clinicians as needed. The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist will ensure that the area is orderly and well-stocked with supplies and equipment. Floating to other departments may be required as needed.
