Registered Nurse - Dialysis

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment in a facility equipped to deliver acute and chronic hemodialysis services. Oversees patient care, collaborates with healthcare teams, and ensures adherence to clinical standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and pertinent data prior to dialysis sessions.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and treatment goals.
• Administer dialysis treatments while monitoring patient responses and vital signs.
• Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures, care instructions, and lifestyle adjustments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate ongoing care and discharge planning.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff and support personnel to ensure quality care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current RN license in the practicing state.
• Possess a minimum of two years recent experience in dialysis or acute care settings, including hemodialysis.
• Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in dialysis procedures, patient assessment, and care planning.
• Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate with a healthcare team, and educate patients.
