Accounting Manager

Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with a well-established, family-owned commercial construction organization to identify an Accounting Manager for its Baltimore headquarters. This is an opportunity to join a respected industry leader with deep roots in the Mid-Atlantic region and a culture built on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role offers significant visibility across the organization and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on accounting operations, financial reporting, payroll oversight, and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform monthly general ledger accounting close-out including account reconciliations and G/L analysis.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly reporting packages.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and related journal entries.
• Weekly payroll reporting and oversight as well as monthly and quarterly payroll reports.
• Oversite and preparation of monthly customer invoicing.
• Oversite of Accounts Receivable. Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as an Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant or related experience.
• Working knowledge of Foundation construction accounting software or a similar accounting financial package.
