Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract opportunity offers an engaging and rewarding experience for an Occupational Therapist eager to work across diverse school sites in a vibrant educational setting near Riverside, CA. Beginning August 2026 and continuing through the end of the 2027 school year, you'll support a cross-categorical student population in an itinerant model—making a profound difference in the lives of learners while collaborating with professionals who share your passion.
Utilize your expertise in both schools and broader healthcare environments, including home health, to ensure students receive the individualized support and therapy they need to thrive. Enjoy the security of full-time hours, with a Monday through Friday schedule, all within a supportive and dynamic team environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid OT license required
- Previous school-based occupational therapy experience essential
- Strong understanding of best practices in OT for educational and healthcare settings
- Ability to adapt quickly to multiple school sites and varied student needs
- Excellent communication and time management skills for itinerant work
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students across multiple locations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educational teams
- Document progress, maintain necessary records, and communicate with families and staff
- Adapt interventions to meet the diverse needs of a cross-categorical caseload
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and ongoing staff collaboration
