Technician I - Chemical Processing and Materials Quality Control (Weekday Overnight)

$23.08 - $30.53 per hour

This overnight technician position involves formulating and quality-testing reagents for production while managing hazardous materials safely. The role requires following standard operating procedures, operating analytical equipment, and disposing of waste in compliance with regulations. A high school diploma plus 18+ months of lab experience, or an associate degree with one year of experience, is required.

Responsibilities

Formulate and deliver reagents to internal production departments following standard operating procedures
Perform quality control on raw materials, mixtures, and formulations using analytical equipment
Change waste containers and dispose of hazardous materials per Federal and DOT regulations
Handle chemical storage and transportation safely and in compliance with regulations

Requirements

High school diploma or GED with 18+ months laboratory experience
Associate's degree in arts or science with 1+ year laboratory experience
Knowledge of safe chemical handling procedures and protocols
Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
Ability to wear full-face air purifying respirator
Hazwoper 24-hour technician certification (preferred)
ERP systems experience (preferred)

Compensation: $23.08-$30.53 hourly; bonus/incentive pay eligible
