You’ll be: Owning the full-cycle accounting for our construction projects Managing accounts payable, receivable, job costing, WIP, and financial reconciliations Generating accurate, well-formatted reports using QuickBooks and other software tools Supporting internal audits and monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes Handling customer billing, collections, lien waivers, and vendor payments Collaborating with project managers to ensure data accuracy and job profitability Maintaining fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and cash flow monitoring Hiring Expectations: Apply today, complete a quick phone screening, and get ready for an interview with our team to discuss your goals and experience. 3 or more years of accounting experience in construction, plumbing, HVAC, or related skilled trades Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent hands‑on construction accounting experience Strong understanding of job costing, project accounting, percent complete accounting, and WIP reporting High proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Experience with document management systems such as DocuWare Familiarity with payroll platforms such as ADP and certified payroll reporting Experience with progressive billing, retainage, and Schedule of Values Experience handling lien waivers, notices, and collections follow-up Experience managing weekly AR aging and accounts payable Experience with job-based cost tracking and construction payment structures Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and process discipline Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent time management and organizational skills Clear communication and collaboration skills Caliber Plumbing & Mechanical is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
